Description
The thermal imaging camera may be used as recommended by the IVR’s VR27 EV training module, recovery operators should use an infrared thermometer to take regular temperatures across the 5 check points of any electric (EV) or hybrid vehicle’s battery, to monitor any significant rising temperature levels. Using a thermometer, to record ambient, ground and battery temperature is an effective way to check for possible issues with an EV/ hybrid’s high voltage traction battery, which could indicate thermal runaway. Use in conjunction with the EV window stickers to clearly record the high voltage battery temperature at the scene of the recovery and during the storage process as per IVR training and protocols. The Thermal Imaging Camera shows Heat-mapped colour palettes and temperature reading, it includes on-screen cursor to accurately locate minimum/maximum temperature variation is Industrial grade compact, gun-shaped, lightweight and easy to use. Simply aim, then pull the trigger to display the temperature of the item being measured. The LCD display gives a digital read-out of temperature over the range of -20 to 650°C.
