EVIP 2 – Electric Vehicle Immobiliser Plug for Type 2

Description

The EVIP 2 is designed to immobilise an electric vehicle by plugging directly into the Type 2 charge socket, tricking the vehicle into thinking it is waiting for charge. Once connected, even with the ignition on, the car cannot be driven, making it ideal for workshops when working on systems that require the ignition to be on. It was also developed for roadside recovery and emergency services when immobilising an accident-damaged or stranded vehicle is necessary.

• Applications: Vehicles fitted with a Type 2 charge port, including; Audi, BMW, BYD, Ford, Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia, Lucid Air, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Nissan Leaf (2018), Polestar, Porsche, Range Rover P400e, Renault, Smart, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen & Volvo.
• Effectively locks the vehicle drive train by utilising the EV charging protocol that prevents the vehicle from driving while plugged in.
• Made from durable polycarbonate with copper alloy contacts. Bright orange colour with warning tag.
